Today is the first day of editing the music video and Megumi and I have been working very hard on it so far. For editing, I made sure that the scenes had the right timing and the audio matched up with it. For example, this means editing the music in the background. There was a lot of extra filming scenes that were not used. There was about five minutes of filming. It was over four minutes more than needed which is why it was shortened. The time length that was allowed was one minute and fifteen seconds. To start, the editing was on Megumi's laptop. Her laptop is extremely helpful and useful for this video because it is very fast. That way Megumi and I did not have to worry about any technological issues during editing. The main thing I worried about was having issues during editing. The video would be incomplete which would result in an insufficient assignment. The very first thing that was done was playing the full video. I was the one who was in charge of cutting out unimportant parts. For example, there was an exceeding amount of landscape scenes that didn't benefit the video. It would have made the video longer and seem a bit boring of viewing the same thing. It would have lacked interest in the viewers. There was also a lot of scenes of Megumi that were not needed, so I cut out some. I also recommended transitions which Megumi and I decided on using to make the music video more interesting. The shots I chose to do were a point of view shot, pan, tilt, long shot, etc. There is still editing that has to be done but most of it is done.
